Fano Jazz By The Sea 1993
After the separation from the Umbria Jazz Association, in 1993 the festival in Fano reborn as Fano Jazz By The Sea, and it does so under the artistic direction of Adriano Mazzoletti, music critic.
The 1993 edition of the festival is presented with a duration of 20 days, taking the title of the longest in Europe, characterized by three appointments every day, with different and characteristic locations in the city on the seafront. The ’93 festival is made unique by an important presence of Italian musicians and the ability to access for free most of the concerts.
In the same year Fano Jazz Club was born on the wave of enthusiasm for the success of that year’s event. It will be an association of Fano musicians, sole representative of the administration of the city of the riviera for the management of the Jazz Music Festival.

Fano Jazz By The Sea 1995
The 1995 edition marks the definitive downsizing of the duration of the festival, which goes from the 25 days of the ’94 edition to 8 days. This setting will drastically change the connotation of the Festival, until then perceived externally as a series of concerts unrelated to each other. The 1995 edition, therefore, marks the beginning of Fano Jazz By The Sea as a real cultural project.
Among the most significant presences: Milton Jackson, Gary Burton and Lew Tabackin, identifying artists of a jazz that we could define “historical”. James Carter, David Sanchez and Wallace Roney, for jazz seen in a more modern way. Billy Cobham and Super Soul Session tell jazz music in its most spectacular key to music.
The 1995 edition presents a particularity: a review of films about jazz to complete the event.
Locations: Corte Malatestiana, Centro di aggregazione giovanile S. Arcangelo, Anfiteatro Rastatt, Cavea Lido, Ex Monastero Benedettine, Largo Arco D’Augusto.
