‘ClarOscuro’ is the new lineup directed by the Pugliese double bass player Matteo Bortone, winner of TOP JAZZ 2015 as Best New Talent. For this new experience, Bortone is flanked by two strong personalities, Enrico Zanisi on piano and Stefano Tamborrino on drums, musicians with strong interpretative skills.
Starting from the compositions of Bortone, the trio gives life to an intimate music, which reveals itself little by little and which reveals a more malleable approach to groove and pulsation, through a writing that is renewed and is surprising. Together, the three explore the world of resonances, timbres and roles of voices proposing a sometimes delicate music, others energetic but always attentive to interaction and listening.
