John Scofield, guitar – Brad Mehldau, piano – Mark Guiliana, drums
the most anticipated group of summer 2016. Indeed, an authentic supergroup! In fact, the association can not be defined in any other way, on the background of stimulating electroacoustic interweaving, between one of the most prominent exponents of the six-string world, one of the most talented pianists (in this case, keyboardist) of contemporary jazz and of the most requested drummers of the moment, involved by David Bowie in his Blackstar artistic will. John Scofield, Brad Mehldau and Mark Guiliana are not only three virtuosos of their respective instrumental domains: they are, in the first place, three musicians open to comparison, available to constantly get involved. Their collaboration is based on mutual respect matured in other contexts: Mehldau participated in Scofield’s Works For Me 2000 album, while the same pianist cemented his agreement with the drummer with the most recent Mehliana project. Now, the three champions are preparing to gather together a choral applause.
