Eivind Aarset: guitar, electronics; Thomas Tofte: bass; Wetle Holte: battery; Erland Dahlen: battery
Eivind Aarset is a true visionary alchemist of the guitar. Initially influenced by rock (Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Santana, Pink Floyd), the electric jazz of Miles Davis and his followers, as well as the ECM sound developed by Jan Garbarek and Terje Rypdal, the Norwegian musician has developed an original approach to the six strings made of poetry, energy, improvisational fantasy, inclination to the exploration of new sounds; in all this he has used a use of adventurous technology, rich in nuances. A regular partner of Nils Petter Molvær, Aarset has collaborated with numerous other artists: from compatriots Arve Henriksen, Arild Andersen, Jan Bang and Garbarek himself to Brian Eno, Bill Laswell and David Sylvain, to our Stefano Battaglia and Michele Rabbia, with whom he constituted a valued trio.
