The Band’Uniòn was born around the need to propose and re-read a musical literature more related to its origins.
It is around the need for music, the need for expression, which revolves their work, be it jazz, tango, contemporary music or free improvisation.
The Band’Uniòn, original for the juxtaposition of the instruments, is intense and rigorous, capturing from the first listening, from the limpid and essential lyricism to the aggressive sounds, from the suffused and melting Latin melodies to the sound carpets of simple purity.
A quartet, which, despite its being a border proposal, at the intersection between ethno and jazz, between tango and improvisation, “arrives” and communicates emotion, far from any arid mannerism and intellectualistic experimentalism.
Today, eight years after the first publication with “Canto alla Terra”, the group presents the new and long-awaited double album “Nadir” which was published for Paolo Fresu’s new Tuk Music label.
